Chile, 2019

In October 2019, Chile saw an unprecedented wave of social protests in the post-dictatorship era. These images capture that moment, but they do not focus on the action itself. Instead, they evoke a silence materialized through this aesthetic. Set against a backdrop of demands for social justice and urban violence, the photographs reflect my own ambivalence, suspended between hope and skepticism.
